Detoxing the Liver

If our liver detoxification systems are overwhelmed or inadequate, fat soluble toxins will lodge in our fatty tissues - one of their favorite resting places being our breasts. An abundance of minerals, vitamins and amino acids is essential for liver detoxification and the prevention of breast cancer. One way to get all of these is juicing green leafy vegetables. I love adding some ginger and lime to all my juices, which makes them fresh and yummy.

Avoid juicing fruit as that adds a lot of sugar and without the fiber it gets into your blood within 10 minutes spiking your insulin. Adding half a beat and some carrots is plenty sweet!

Yogi Bhajan has given us so many kriyas that help to detoxify the liver as well as other eliminating systems in our body.
