Every 2.5 hours we naturally change which nostril is dominating, but you can adjust that through ptanayam (breathing exercise) and control which side of the brain you need activated depending on what you would like to accomplish.
If you are getting ready for a meeting or writing an exam a few minutes of Right nostril breathing will clear up the fog and give you alertness.
If you would like to relax or prepare for meditation Left nostril breathing is a must!
