Yogi Tea

Updated: Mar 2, 2020

We all enjoy an aromatic cup of Yogi tea after Kundalini yoga class.

All five of them - black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, clove and ginger inhibit (disable) NFkB or the cancer's master switch. This switch activates more than 400 genes involved in tumor survival and growth. Next time when you are sipping a cup of yogi tea you will appreciate it even more.

This is also great for boosting the immune system which makes it perfect for the winter months as a daily drink to fend off viruses and bacteria.

Here is the recipe:

- 4 liters of water

- 39 cloves (whole)

- 52 green cardamom pods – crack them open

- 52 black pepper kernels

- 6 ½ cinnamon sticks (4” length)

- 26 slices of ginger

- 1 tea bag of Organic black tea

Add all spices and ginger to the pot of water and boil them for 30 min. Add 1 tea bag of Organic black tea and steep for 5 min, then remove.

Don’t skip the tea as it is very important to get all the spices to release the good nutrients we are after!

Sometimes I leave the spices in the pot overnight in a cool place for extra flavour. Strain and keep in glass bottles in the fridge. It is good for up to two weeks.

To the warm cup of tea, you can add some Honey or Almond milk if you wish. Enjoy!
